When you purchase a product, Gumroad (our payment processor) collects your name, email address, and payment information. We receive your name and email address to fulfill your order. We do not store payment card details.
When you submit a Rewrite service request through our order form, we collect your name, email, target role, and any resume materials you send us. This information is used solely to deliver the service.
What We Don't Collect
The resume builder at thecareer.ca/builder does not collect, store, or transmit any data you enter. All resume content exists only in your browser session and is permanently deleted when you close or refresh the page. We have no access to it.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to process and deliver your orders, respond to support requests, and send you order confirmations and product updates. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Cookies
We use minimal cookies for basic site functionality. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising pixels. If you have an ad blocker installed, nothing on this site will break.
Third Party Services
We use Gumroad for payment processing and product delivery. Their privacy policy governs how they handle your data. We use Adzuna's API to power the job search feature — job searches are made directly from your browser to Adzuna and are subject to their privacy policy.
Data Retention
We retain order information as required for business and tax records. Resume materials submitted for The Rewrite are deleted from our systems after delivery and revision completion.
Your Rights
You may request deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
